Why was Journeys InEquity started?

Journeys InEquity began as a platform which aims to centre and highlight how equity and anti-oppression based education can be used to improve language, attitudes and safety in schools, workplaces and communities.

Coming from diverse identities, lived experiences and academic backgrounds, our facilitators bring unique insights around issues of social justice, diversity, inclusion and LGBTQ awareness (LGBTQ stands for lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer).

Journeys InEquity believes all schools, workplaces and communities can and should practice becoming more equitable, inclusive, accessible and well-informed. Through education, resource sharing and tool building, Journeys InEquity will leave you with a variety of shared knowledges which will begin, facilitate, and encourage your own journeys in equity and anti-oppression.
